Orlando PermacultureWelcome to the page for the Orlando Permaculture Guild! In short, permaculture is a design process for sustainable living which seeks to mirror nature's inherent balance. The foundation of permaculture is the acknowledgement of the natural web of abundant relationships that exist in nature. It is an approach to designing human settlements and agricultural systems that are modeled on these relationships in order to create a more sustainable culture. Each year, Simple Living co-hosts a Permaculture Design Course at the Econ Farm and from that dynamic group of students, teachers and community members, the Orlando Permaculture Guild was established. Central Florida Permaculture CommunityTo facilitate learning, the creating of community and the sharing of experience we have created an Orlando Permaculture Meet-Up meet-up group. About the Permaculture Design CourseOur first Orlando Permaculture Design Course was taught with Bradford White and Terry and Tia Meer at the Econ Farm. The first round of permaculture graduates have named themselves the "Bootyberry Guild" and formed the Orlando Permaculture Guild. Since the completion of the course we have been visiting each others houses and doing permaculture design, greywater systems, rain barrels, food forest gardens and more.
